🎮 Hi! I'm Laura Morán, a 3D Character Artist with over 4 years of experience in the video game industry and avatar platforms.
I'm passionate about bringing characters and creatures to life across a wide range of styles, genres, and personalities. I've worked on 3D modeling, texturing, and modular clothing/accessory creation, from highly stylized visuals to more realistic designs.
Currently I'm working as freelancer for Digic Pictures, where I'm contributing to the creation of the iconic Magic The Gathering, the animated serie. I'll be doing Character Art, providing my services as Character Modeler.
🛠️ Key Skills: ZBrush, Substance Painter, Blender, Stylized Workflows, PBR Texturing, Game-ready Optimization, Lighting & Rendering, Jira, Trello, PlasticSCM.
🚀 For the moment, I'll be open to new opportunities from Sept 2026, as a 3D Character Artist / Creature Artist / Texture Artist, both in-house and freelance, in a Remote basis, although I'm open to negociations.
📩 Got an idea or project in mind? I’m ready to chat!
I’m excited to begin a new chapter as a Character Modeler at DIGIC Pictures, working on an animated series based on the iconic ✨Magic: The Gathering.
✨ Modeled and textured modular clothing for neutral, female, and male avatars, maintaining silhouette consistency and piece compatibility, using ZBrush, Blender and sometimes, Marvelous Designer.
✨ Created original characters for premium releases and brand collaborations (under active NDA).
✨ Solved skinning and clipping issues on shared skeletons. Also posing and doing sculpting passes to achive dynamic and eyecatching pieces for Marketing purposes.
✨ Conducted visual quality research for implementing diverse body types, races, and stylized characters for an improved version of the Avatars. (Never was fully implemented)
✨ Explored and tested workflows for hairstyles and customizable assets, as headwear or clothing logic to achieve a modular library and avoiding mesh clipping issues.
✨ Used tools such as PlasticSCM, Jira, Asana and Trello daily to support agile and organiced, team-based production.
✨ Participated in remastering and improving existing assets, giving a fresh new look and avoiding a lot of manual work and time of production due to company needs.
✨Being part of the team doing several NFT projects in collaboration with popular brands in the crypto world, as STEPN, Morchis, or Meebits, among other in-house collections.
As a Junior 3D Artist working for 2 years in a small Art team, I did:

✨Full body outfits or Hero Characters for Monetization and Marketing campaigns.
✨Learnt daily organization softwares as Monday, Asana, Notion, Miro or DatoCMS to keep the tasks tracked and updated.
✨Cleaning and organization files, gathering everything in a new and refreshed place for better accesibility
In my Intership I did:
